Hey,
Yesterday my Dad's 5year old computer died on him.
As far as we know the hard drive is safe, with all the current information still on there.
I was wondering if its possible for me to put his hard drive into my computer so we can backup his data to put on another computer when its purchased.
His drive is a Seagate barracuda 7200.7 that was on an Intel system on a Gigabyte motherboard.
My drive is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 thats is currently on an AMD system with a ASUS motherboard
He was running Windows XP SP2 and I am running SP3.
Both the drives were labeled C:/

Thanks in advance for anyone who can answer this.
