question: .pst files created with Outlook 2000- will I be able to open these .pst files with Outlook 2003?

yep...you can open up PSTs from outlook 97 all the way through 2002

I don't think so, you said 97 ->2002, I'm interested in Outlook 03. I do appreciate your help.

office 2003 can open PST files made by any office version from office 97 to office 2002 (and 2003 by default)....since 2000 is between 97 and 2002...then yes
