Compaq Presario 1610 Sound Trouble No Sound

I keep getting the error message, "Cannot open .wav file, sound card may already be in use". Any ideas?

:D Okay...duh..I thought I had done this before...I went to Compaq's website...found out it's a common problem when you reinstall Win98 SE to have to reinstall the sound driver. Did that...I HAVE SOUND!!! So embarassed but maybe this will help some other poor computer illiterate out there. <_<
