I tried opening a game that i have played many times before on my computer when the monitor went blank. I restarted the computer. I saw all the loading screens and when it came time for my desktop to appear it didnt not and the screen went back to being blank with the on light blinking

I have tried to go into safe mode to reset the resolution but that did not work. Also i have tried to system restore but i had it disabled. When i am in safe mode it does not start up to the blank screen with the blinking light

I also tried to change the resolution blind. But still did not work. Maybe i had the wrong directions on what to press to blindly reset the resolution.

I can also shut down the computer from the blank screen using the keyboard short cuts which is why i tried to change the resolution blind.

Could something be fried in my computer that is causing this?

Or is there any other way i can go about fixing this?
