I was watching a dvd when my computer shut itself off. When trying to turn it back on, the dispay wouldnt come on. Now it comes on sometimes but says error 280 previous boot failed. Trying to go into setup it freezes.

Thanks for responding. I can't do anything with it. It wont stay on long enough, and when it does come on, it freezes on the first push of a key.

Flip the laptop over and look for a tiny reset button.
If it does not have one take the battery out (with it unpluged) and let it set for a few minutes.
How old is this laptop?

It is about a year and a half old. There is no reset button and now it wont come on at all. Tried different outlets and a different power cord, so maybe something to do with that?
