This is on win XP and linux (knopplix live), so I'm thinking its hardware related. The PC is a Dell Inspiron 1150.

A minute or so after boot up context menus appear without clicking. They seem to be at the top left of the current focus (menus in applications, top of screen when only desktop is open).

As you move the mouse (touch pad or usb) or try to type, these windows keep poping up, and you have to dismiss them before being able to type, then it happens again, and again, and again.

Any ideas?
