With IE I can adjust the settings for deleting temporary internet files by going to Tools/Options/Settings. What is the equivalent sequence for Firefox? Thanks.

This is FF3, but FF2 should be similar:

Tools-->Options

Click the 'Privacy' icon

In the 'Private Data' section, click 'Settings'

Tick/Untick the items you do/do not want to remove. Click 'OK' to save your settings.

Click 'Clear now' to remove all items according to your settings.

You can also choose to have Firefox remove all those items automatically everytime you exit Firefox -- very useful and something IE can't do.

Of course there are tools as well that make the job so much faster:

ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

It also can clean Recycling Bins, Temp, etc....
