I have a potential problem. While scanning for viruses and such my McAfee 8 found a 'potentialy unwanted program' that cannot be cleaned or deleted. It is ahoo.exe and comes up as a 'buddy-link'. My adaware 6.0 does not find it nor does spybot search and destroy. McAfee has only recently found it and I cannot think of what I would have did to have it pop up suddenly. I have tracked it down and tried to delete it but it says I do not have access. What is it and is it a threat or how do I get rid of it. Thanks <_<

hey JfGoo and welcome to the site!

Pease run a free online virus scan here:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/

And a free trojan scan here:
http://www.moosoft.com/

After let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
