Repairing a cleaned pc

After finally removing a ton of Malware from a PC, it now seems to have a few problems remaining. I've been "given a clean bill of health" by Transcience over in the Malware section.

Problem: No internet connection
This is a laptop using a wireless adaptor (linksys Wireless-B Notebook Adapter). The computer recognizes the wireless adapter, and the router. However, after connecting to the router, it cannot seem to find the internet. Transience's suggestion was to use Windows "Repair" function for the network...problem is there are no networks listed in the Network Connections window, and no network icon appears in the taskbar. The wireless adapter's Connection Utility program (thats not the name of the program) runs fine though.

Problem: No sound
There is no sound. After investigating, the settings for volume indicate that there is no sound device.

Problem: Windows Media Player does not start
I have not found any other programs yet with this same problem, however the problem with the properties windows not showing up in the System Devices under Admin Tools. Windows Media Player refuses to run. Nothing comes up, and it does not appear in the task manager or the task bar. This could be a simple reinstall fix of course.

Problem: Task Bar does not come up
The task bar seems to be locked in a minimized state. When right-clicking the taskbar, all choices are grayed, except "Show toolbars". Clicking "Links" in the show toolbars menu brings back up the taskbar, but tasks still will not show on the taskbar. They will minimize just above the taskbar.

Problem: Can't drag and drop, Can't Paste
Not sure how to explain it any better. Cannot drag and drop items. I can copy (Ctrl+C and right-click->copy), but I cannot paste (Ctrl+v doesn't work, r-click->paste is grayed out).

Any help would be appreciated. There is a lot of this already posted in the linked thread above from the Malware section though.
