As it appears i may be having some problems with my BFG GE FORCE 8600 GTS graphics card i have been to pc world to see what is available in the price range, to do a possible exchange
I have settled on an ATI SAPHIRE HD4850 (512mb) card, although there were quite a few lower priced 9600GT cards as well that were catcing my eye.
I know all the options i can choose from are faster, in that they are all 512MB rather than the 256 on the 8600gts i already have. But, i know that that doesnt make a huge difference and its down to clock speeds, and other specifications.

Is the HD4850 a good card, , and an apt replacement for my 8600gts ? ? ?

A HD4850 is better than the 8600GTS easily, and preferable over a 9600GT.
Price wise, you can probably do a lot better than PC World as well.
