Similarily the same as a user before, I did some snooping on google, browsed looking to solve this on my own, and have failed, coming here and posting a Hijack This log in hope that one of you may be able to help me?

Problem: While trying to install Windows Service Pack 2, left my computer, came back to restart, the next restart told me "NORTON PROTECTED Access Denied C:" pressing the button to close it, clicking on an explorer button, opening a folder, using the computer in any fashion other than to run programs like firefox and game applications, causes a screen to pop up and say "DrWatson PostMortum Has Failed..." blah blah blah.

I ran the following checks:

Norton Antivirus
Adaware SE
Spybot Search and Destroy

All checks came out clean, but I still have the problem. I cannot do any online virus scans because I cannot use IE.

Help me, Please?

I will need you to post another log since it's been so long. Sorry, you were overlooked.

Before you do that, I do see one item that can be checked.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O2 - BHO: CWebDirObj Object - {C003C49F-53E4-4A72-B7D6-0B2B9997392F} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\webdir.dl

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\webdir.dl

Reboot and post a new log.
