Hi

I just had Win XP Pro SP3 reinstalled. I had backed up a file in Quickbooks but soon discovered that it was a company file (when I click on properties, the type of file is "quickbooks company file" 88 MB).
I reinstalled QB Basic 2003 R7 & am trying to restore the file but keep getting various error messages..read only (when I try to change the attributes, I get an error message & I can't do anything but leave..It won't let me ignore or retry.

Does anyone know if my data can be restored & how would I do it keeping in mind that I am not an advanced computer person.

Thanks in advance
