After coming home last night my Dell Inspiron 6400 was frozen. It looked like it may have happened when it changed to screen saver mode. Half of the screen was the screensaver and the other half was just colored lines. Plus the computer was making a noise that just kept repeating. I held down the power button a few seconds and turned off the notebook. Now it will not reboot,
when I try to reboot the power light comes on, and the numeric keypad light is on as well. the CAPLOCK and Scroll Lock lights flash on and off for around 45 seconds then all lights turn off.
Nothing ever happens on the monitor. never tries to post.
any suggestions?
