Sony HDR-SR11 Video and Vegas 7 Editing

Hello everyone,

I have been using Vegas7 for 3 yrs now and it works great in my system. I used untill now fire wire, I just purchased a Sony HDR-SR11 HDD camera.

Vegas is not operating as it had the past 3 yrs. I have coverted files to mpeg2 but it still freezes and just takes a long time to operate.

Can anyone give me a direction to go, Sony web site is not much help.
