I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, but I need some help. My computer was going really slow. It wasn't the internet, because even opening tabs took forever. I got rid of a bunch of stuff, and defragged my hard drive, but that didn't help. So I downloaded the trial version of Norton and ran it. After I was done with it, I uninstalled it. I was then prompted to restart the computer, so I did. So after my computer started, I couldn't log onto any of my online programs except for firefox.

I know I must have done something stupid. How do I fix all this?

Norton is reknowned for leaving bits of itself behind when you uninstall it, so maybe that's causing the problem. Fortunately, Symantec have made a removal tool available which clears all references to Norton Products: http://service1.syma...005033108162039
