I read the tutorial about setting up a network connection but that was only for XP. My laptop is Vista and my desktop is XP.

My desktop is hard wired to the modem and I just bought a new laptop and I want to be able to have both of them connected using my Verizon DSL. Im a little confused as to how to do it or if its even possible.

I tried the Network connection wizards on both pcs and the desktop one went through ok but the laptop didnt. I changed it so that they were in the same workgroup but I dont know if that matters?

about a month ago, a storm fried my modem and I went out and bought a new one but, as mentioned, its wired. I dont want to have to buy a new wireless modem for this to work.. is there anyway I can get both to connect to the internet? I hope I made some sense :)

Oh im so stupid when it comes to networking :)
