Sounds like you need an updated driver for the webcam running on Vista or try reinstalling the software that came with webcam if it stated it was Vista compatible. If not available for Vista, may have to set it to run in Win XP compatible mode.

Might be a Skype problem. Try uninstalling Skype and reinstallinmg it, then run through the web cam set options.

You're welcome. Thought you would find the solution within Skype itself. Thanks for posting back. If you know the steps you used to solve the problem, please list them for the benefit of others who may have the same problem and are following this thread. Thank you.

sure =)

this is the steps (which i've done):

open your skype
click tools
select "option"
under general tab (top left) click the "video settings' section
you should see the video setting or ur skype account

next, under "select webcam" choose which webcam u wud like to use
when u choose the webcam, u should be able to see pictures of you (or anything which captured by ur webcam while u set the settings), which shows that ur webcam is working

thats it!
dont forget to click on "save" button on the bottom left.

hope this wud help anyone having the same problem wif me.
=)

gd luck!
