So on Normal, you get sound out of 1 speaker only... But if you change it, then sound comes out of all 5.1 speakers, but sounds with a bad echo? That is really weird.

The latest drivers I can find on the ASUS website are Version 5.10.0.5657/6.0.1.5696 released 2008/11/20 update - can you confirm you have this driver?

What speakers do you have? You might want to double check (work your way through the manual) that you have set everything up correctly and all are plugged into the correct ports on your I/O panel.

i think your pc is all set all you have to do now is find those movies that support surround sound (SS)

or you can add some more stuff like amps, or more satellite speakers, you just make sure that your listening to a cd or dvd that supports SS
