I just got a virus that I don't know how to get rid of. I'm currently running a virus scan (with pc-cillian and ad-aware 2008) and hopefully they find something, but I'm not sure how i'm going to get rid of it. Here's the problem. Every time I try and search for something (i've only tried google and yahoo) the links in the results are not to the correct site, they lead to different, advertising websites. I've attached a screen shot so you guys can see what I mean. Any suggestions at all would be incredibly helpful. The virus is affecting both firefox and internet explorer, so i'm screwed, lol. I found this forum by googling computer help forum, seeing the geeks to go website, and then just guessing at geekstogo.com. I really need some help guys, thank you so much.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
