I get a Security Center Alert that states that : "Windows Firewall has blocked activity of harmful software." Trojan.Zlob.G

Internet Explorer keeps shutting down. I've run Norton Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and a few others and nothing has worked.

Can you please help me?

Here is my Hijack This Log:

Hi,

Any idea how you got infected with this one? Did you visit a certain site where suddenly a command prompt Window appeared?
Please answer these questions since this is important.

* Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

http://www.bleepingc...to-use-combofix

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have no idea how I got this message. I don't remember visiting a site with a windows command prompt? I wouldn't download anything unless i was sure what it was. Maybe an e-mail attachment?? I don't know. Anyway, after i posted this topic, i found a trick that has helped me. I changed the name of the following files:

spcffwl.dll
kjzna1562565.exe

in C:\Documents and Settings\<myusername>\Application Data\Google

I can now get on the internet (i made the original post from another computer). And i haven't received the message since then.

I have to go to work, but when i get home, i will run comofix and post that log and a new hijackthis log.

Thanks for the help,

-Mike

spcffwl.dll

Yes, those are the responsible files. Please delete them.

Also, this entry will now appear in HijackThis:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Smax4] "C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Application Data\Google\kjzna1562565.exe"

So check and fix that entry as well.

No need to run Combofix anymore - since you have already found the responsible files.
Just rescan with HijackThis again and post the new log in your next reply.

Glad I could help. :)

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.
