hi...i was under the impression that no 2 computers could have the exact same IP address, unless using a proxy/router. Is this true? Could someone explain how 2 different computers, say in 2 different states could have the exact same IP address (if it is possible?)? Thanks

i have read and searched other responses, and this hasn't been answered as far as i can see. i know this may seem like a silly question to all of you, but i would like an answer. i'd ask in live chat or something, but my comp wont let me join live chat.

please answer this question for me. thanks
