I opened a file that I should not of called run.exe from MSN Messenger. The file asked to run and I complied but when my firewall came on I suspected that this wasn't a good idea and decided to cancel it. The file that I downloaded to my desktop disappeared and I noticed that my Nortons Anti-virus 2004 Auto-Protect feature was disabled. I opened it turned the auto-protect back on and ran a virus scan of which I found nothing. I updated nortons just in case but the program updated as well and the computer needed to be restarted. Once the computer restarted I was asked if I wanted to run the program run.exe again (this occurs everytime I restart). I said no but my Nortons auto-protect still didnt come on. I tried to open the main program but Nortons wouldnt even open anymore.

I downloaded avast, spybot search and destroy, and microsoft anti-spyware (I already had adaware) updated them and ran scans to no avail. Here is my logfile....hopefully someone can help me sort out this problem and help me get rid of the file run.exe and any other problems that can be seen by someone with more skill than I. As well around the same time a file called sbl.exe was found in my C:/ drive and I do not know what it is or where it came from....I'm wondering if the two are connected?
