Welcome to GTG dawno <_<

To start off, your computer has a number of spyware programs that we need to remove. For more info on spyware see the Spyware FAQ link in my signature.

Let's start with a couple free programs:
Spybot Search & Destroy Download and install. Start Spybot S&D using the "Spybot-S&D (easy mode)" link from your Start menu . Click the Search for updates button, if any are found then click the Download Updates button. After all updates are downloaded, click the Check for problems button. When the scan is complete, place a check next to anything marked in red, then click the Fix selected problems button. You may need to run Spybot S&D multiple times to remove all infections.

Ad-aware Open Ad-Aware and use the Check for updates now link. Download and accept the latest reference file. When finished click the Start button. When done scanning, the Abort button will change to Next. Click the Next button. Right-click in the Scanning Results window and click "Select all objects". Then click the "Next" button and confirm that you want to delete the selected entries.

When finished, Reboot your computer. Finally, reply to this post with a new HiJackThis log so we can look for any nasties that may have been missed. :D

Better, better. I strongly recomment ou uninstall SpySweeper through the control panel because they make you pay to fix anything the "free" scan comes up woth. Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files and folders, and remove the following files in bold:

C:\Program Files\Teluse...\SmartBridge\ <- Folder (Teluse.., name starts with this)

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Motive SmartBridge] C:\PROGRA~1\TELUSE~2\SMARTB~1\MotiveSB.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /instal
O4 - Global Startup: MsnFixer.lnk = ?

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log. <_<

No need to have it. You don't need to buy anytyhing that Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware can do better for free. Get your money back if you can.

Ok
I will do this, but before I do, isn't Backweb something I need to have? I thought is was associated with good things like my Norton. When I first used my Spysweeper it warned me against deleting it.

Thanks...again

Hello Nathan

Ok i booted in safe mode, but when i typed in:
C:\Program Files\Teluse...\SmartBridge\ <- Folder
i got an error message, Not accesable:the filename, directory name,or volume label syntax is incorrect.

I typed it a few different ways and came up with the same thing.
Telus ecare is a downloaded program from my internet provider, basically helps if you do not have a connection to internet or something else like say a problem with outlook. Can chat with them if need be.
So I wonder if this is something I should be getting rid of?
What do you think of it now?

That SmartBridge folder is spyware. Your ISP can use it to track your internet usage. Delete it to protect your privacy. The folder you need to delete is (since I know the full name):

C:\Program Files\Telus Ecare\SmartBridge\ <- Delete This Folder

Restart, then post a new log. <_<

Hello

Well I did a scan and definately have no virus or anything. I still seem to stall. Any other ideas at all??? <_< I 'd hate to have to take it in just for what seems a small problem.
Also I ran housecalls and last night checked my NortonLiveupdate, which had an error message, after follwonf all the instructions with no resolution, I had to uninstall and reinstall. Do you think running another antivirus could have mucked it up?

Thanks...again...

It may be a hardware or overheating problem, but here's a couple other things to try.

1. Make sure your system files haven't been modified. Click Start -> Run, type SFC /SCANNOW

2. A video driver problem can also cause the symptoms you describe. Try updating your video driver. This program can help you identify which one you need:
