Hi, I posted a minute ago, got the notification that my Hijack This was outdated, downloaded the new one, closed all apps, ran Hijack This. Here's the new log. Thanks in advance, let me know anything else you need.

Please disable SpywareGuard while we are working on this. It will guard your settings regardless and that might hinder us.

Download: DelDomains.inf
To use: right-click and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also

Reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs <= entire folder
C:\WINDOWS\system32\web.exe

Sorry, I'm not understanding what iit is you want me to upload to the spykiller forum. I've read the instructions at the forum, don't understand what to do with the shttps\http.exe file.

I followed the procedure above, except that I didn't find a windows/isvrs folder, I didn't find a program files/1stbar. Re-running Hijack This still shows desktop.exe and isvrs. Thanks for your help.

Please download the Killbox.
Then please reboot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and pressing F8 as your computer is booting up. Then select the Safe Mode option.
Once in Safe Mode, please run Killbox.
Select "Delete on Reboot".
Open the text file with these instructions in it, and copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\desktop.exe
C:\WINDOWS\isrvs\ffisearch.exe
Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".
Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..

Let the system reboot into safe mode and check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Hi, I do have the delprot.sys file. I'm not sure I'm doing the deldomains.inf procedure correctly. I click on it (right click does not give me an option of install), I get a file download security warning, I click open, it just automatically opens a notepad file describing what it will do. How do I execute it?

Could you ulpoad delprot.sys at the uploads forum here:

Please mention a link to this thread. You can delete it afterwards.
It's part of the isrvs infection, but I want to submit the file so it will get detected by the antispywarescanners.

Save the file to your computer as DellDomains.inf
Then rightclick it and choose install.

I executed (installed) the deldomain.inf. Everything looks good. What's the appropriate way to express my gratitude for the work you all are doing. Is a donation to the hedgehod rescue fund the correct response or is there another mechanism? Thanks again, keep up the good work.

You can delete delprot.sys anbd if you want to post a HijackThis log for checkups, I'll gladly have a look.

This is my brother in laws computer (he's computer naive) and he has a 16 year
old
son who had installed Morpheus, Kazaa, and Etomi (gnutella). I've clued him in to
to the dangers involved, and made his account a limited one. I'll be sending
something to the hedgehog fund.
