I used this computer for three year relatively trouble free.
Put it in my kids room and two days later it's down for the count
I'm relatively computer literate but this has me stumped.
I tried a system repair form XP CD but it can't find a drive.
I tried a fixmbr also with no luck.<I tried unplugging drives one at a time etc.
Put a known good drive in it and it still has same error?????
Any ideas??

yea. i actually did both those things too. It sees the hard drive and can see what size it is and everything.
It doesnt matter what i set the boot order to, ONLY the CD drive will boot.
Any other ideas are appreciated and thanks for the help so far.
