Yesterday it seems I came down with a virus. I'm guessing it happened while surfing the web and not through an email. I've tried the usual removal programs (symantec and defender) with no luck. Browser opens to a pancolp.com site and then bounces to a page asking me to purchase spyware. I'm running XP.

I've searched around and it seems like possibly a new virus. Any one have any ideas?

My symantec found trojan.byteverify but told me it was cleaned. But tis not the case.

I tried system restore but that did not work (system would not restore)
