Xp Error Msg (when Instaling)

i have a computer with 98se on it i then decided to put xp on it so i could add it easly to my home network

when xp is starting to load i geta error messge that says ''page_fault_in_nonepage_arear'' which means nothink to me also there it says to remove any recently added hardware and at to disable any bios memory options
this is the speck of my computer
ram:128mb ddr
hdd:40gb
cpu: amd duron 1300

ok i know its a old system but it should be able to take xp ok shoulnt it ??

as 2 things come to mind
1. do i need more ram (but i dont want to pay for more ram than i need )
2. does the bios need updating


pls pls pls healp me on this
