Hi guys,
My start up has been really really slow. It used to happen like now and then but now it happens whenever i turn my computer on. Well, lets say i logged in and my wallpaper (my wallpaper is set as none) would load than it would just get stuck on that no icons no startup bar. If i wait it does load up after some mins, but when i ctrl+alt+del and logg of user (but it says end task explorer.exe) and log back in, It loads normally.

I dunno whats wrong :S

ty guys

Try to go Start>Run and type> msconfig click OK and click on Startup and here You can remove any program that you don't need at a startup of windows.Yu could also try to scan your comp for viruses and spyware.

1. Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")

2. Download, and install Quick Startup: http://www.glarysoft.com/qs.html
Go File>Export, save report, and paste it into your next post.

Please download and run ATF Cleaner and let it clean out your temporary files. See if that helps any.

You have couple of unnecessary startups, but I doubt, they would cause such a huge delay in Windows loading.
In any case, let's disable those, using Quick Startup:
- Adobe Photo Downloader
- HP Software Update
- hpqSRMon
- BgMonitor_{79662E04-7C6C-4d9f-84C7-88D8A56B10AA}
- MSMSGS
- Google Update
- WMPNSCFG
- HP Digital Imaging Monitor
Restart computer, and see how it goes.

Talking about ctfmon.exe...
It's needed as a startup, only, if you use more than one language in M$ Office. If you don't, it can be disabled.

oh.. new error now...

it loads up... then.. all icons appear i cant click any of them..
ctrl+alt+del logg off user

explorer.exe... not responding end task

so i googled what it was found this out

This is the user shell, which we see as the familiar taskbar, desktop, and so on. This process isn't as vital to the running of Windows as you might expect, and can be stopped (and restarted) from Task Manager, usually with no negative side effects on the system.

Note: The explorer.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows. In other cases, explorer.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm! Check this with Security Task Manager.

Virus with same name:
W32.MyDoom.B - Symantec Corporation
and other...

and when explorer.exe in end tasked comp runs just fine... :)

I doubt, this is your problem, but....

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
