Just wondering if anyone has a solution for this....
Using IE8, and I have google toolbar installed so now I have 2 google find bars. I cannot for the life of me find a way to wipe out the second find bar(beside the url bar), not the one on the google toolbar.
Anyone else find a way to do this? I have searched and searched but cannot get rid of this! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't understand why people still use IE.. It's extremely insecure... Use Firefox :)

I promise you, if this were not my work PC I would be using Firefox. That's what I use at home :)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Just need to find out what to add......

OK, here we go...
I checked both IE7, and IE8, and I don't have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Infodelivery\Restrictions keys in any of them, but...
I downloaded Download Hide Search Box Registry Fix from here: http://www.howtogeek...ch-bar-on-ie-7/
It's a simple registry file:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Infodelivery\Restrictions]
"NoSearchBox"=dword:00000001

I did run it, and the search bar was removed in both, IE&, and IE8.

Broni thanks a lot for the help. I ended up finding this. Manual way, but it is working as I type this! :)
You have to add 3 folders in the reg.

Faster way...
In any case....one way, or another...
