ok, I bought a computer that had vista installed on it.

I removed that useless program, and put XP Pro on it.

Well I left the vista restore partition and made the vista cd's....

so here is my issue, I need to reinstall vista so I can see what others are seeing when I try to help them. I was told that you can install BOTH programs onto one machine. If so, HOW....

Please dont tell me that I have to format, reinstall vista and THEN install XP!!!! That would SUCK!

You don't really need to have Vista on first, but it definitely makes it a lot easier.

You'll need to create another partition and install Vista on it. After doing that, you'll have the boot select menu on startup. If you run into any problems, definitely post back. There are a number of things that can happen if you install Vista in addition to XP, but nothing too serious.
