Hey!

I've got some viruses. I scheduled boot-time search with avast and it reported win32:tidserv [trj], win32:fasec [trj] and win32:trojan-gen {other}. Infected files were in windows folders so I did not delete them. I think I've got the antivirus 2009 infection too. What is more, computer behaves strangely it consumes lots ram and cpu and works [bleep] slow. So, this is my HJT log, please help. Don't want to reinstall the system and also want to learn how to remove malware. Thanks in advance.

Hey!

I tried to remove some malware myself (I hope I didn't do anything wrong) and I think a little is gone now. But I'm not sure that everything went away.
So, I downloaded RSIT and got only one log: that is log.txt (I got both logs the first time I ran the program but I accidentally closed info.txt then I was unable to get both logs again. I was only getting log.txt) What to do? And here is log.txt

Try this instead:

Please click here to download AVP Tool by Kaspersky.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Reboot your computer into SafeMode.

You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears.
Use your up arrow key to highlight SafeMode then hit enter
    .

  • Double click the setup file to run it.
  • Click Next to continue.
  • It will by default install it to your desktop folder.Click Next.
  • Hit ok at the prompt for scanning in Safe Mode.
  • It will then open a box There will be a tab that says Automatic scan.
  • Under Automatic scan make sure these are checked.

  • System Memory
  • Startup Objects
  • Disk Boot Sectors.
  • My Computer.
  • Also any other drives (Removable that you may have)

After that click on Security level then choose Customize then click on the tab that says Heuristic Analyzer then choose Enable Deep rootkit search then choose ok.
Then choose OK again then you are back to the main screen.

  • Then click on Scan at the to right hand Corner.
  • It will automatically Neutralize any objects found.
  • If some objects are left un-neutralized then click the button that says Neutralize all
  • If it says it cannot be Neutralized then chooose The delete option when prompted.
  • After that is done click on the reports button at the bottom and save it to file name it Kas.
  • Save it somewhere convenient like your desktop and just post only the detected Virus\malware in the report it will be at the very top under Detected post those results in your next reply.

Note: This tool will self uninstall when you close it so please save the log before closing it.

Hey again!

OK, after 11 hours of searching for malware Kaspersky didn't find anything. I saved a file named Kas as described above and nothing was written. Also the program itself while it was running didn't detect anything. Does this mean that computer is now free of malware?

Delete\uninstall anything else that we have used.

Including this folder C:\Rsit

System Restore
Then I will need you to reset your System Restore points.
The link below shows how to create a clean restore point.
How to Turn On and Turn Off System Restore in Windows XP

If you are using Vista then see this link > http://www.bleepingc...143.html#manual
=====================================
After that your log is clean. :)

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people.
You do not have to have all or any of them they are only suggestions.
This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.

Spybot Search & Destroy-Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.

Spyware Blaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.

Spywareguard-Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.

Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.

Prevention article To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections please read the Prevention artice by Miekiemoes.

If your computer is slow Is a tutorial on what you can do if your computer is slow.

Hey again, I'm late because of NY parties :)

OK, I've made new system restore point and downloaded spy-bot S&D. Before I was using ad-aware, but the programs seem to be incompatible, so I've deleted ad-aware. Of course I will read article about speeding up computer. Thank you very much again for you help and persistance!
