I just got a laptop from a friend. I've been cleaning it ever since, removing things like P2P software and toolbars. I think I've gotten the visually noticeable crap removed, but I can feel malware crap running. My CPU keeps jumping to 100% every 30 seconds while idling on the desktop, and it's worrying me. It's an Acer 5100 laptop if that's important at all, running Vista Home Premium 32bit.
I've completed all of the steps in the "read first" topic, and I'm ready to post my HijackThis log.
