I have run the Ad-Aware SE and posted my log files to the folks at Lavasoft. I received instructions on cleaning my system.

I have also run AVG as well as Trend Micros on-line scan. Trend Micro identified various viruses and gave instructions on removing them.

I planned on doing a Hijack This log but I have a question first.

When is it better to do a complete reinstall of the OS vs trying to clean my system and patch holes?

Excuse me if I am not using the correct technical jargon but my technical expertise is limited.

Your help is much appreciated.
