Upon upgrading (If you call it an upgrade) from XP Pro to Server 2k3 I had my DVD-rom showing up for a day and then I no longer see
it either in device manager nor bios.
I tried buying another one and no go.
The one I am currently using and it came with the system (Dell XPS 400) still will not show up.
Have deleted the high/Low filters in the reg.
Have tried the firmware for a HL Data Storage GWA-4164B dvd-rom drive
I haven't tried another cable.
Any ideas?
