I dont know alot about computer tech. my drives worked properly for a year and i went to play one of my games

today and it gave me a message Cannot locate the DVD-ROM so I tryed the CD drive same issue. I tryed different

games same problem. I also tryed a laser lens cleaner but to no avail. should I have my computer repaired or is this

something i can fix. How much can i expect to pay to replace or fix it?

Depends what's packed up. These days DVD Writers cost virtually nothing.
Does the drive or drives show up when you go into Computer on the Start Menu?

under hard disk it shows it shows local disk C Under devices it show Floppy drive A (I dont know if it is suppose to show anything else.)
