Hey every i recently contracted a virus from spyware guard 2008, i successfully removed it with AFT cleaner, Mbam, Hijack this and SUPER-antispyware. there are no files infected anymore but now i can not set my background wallpaper(only displays a blue screen) i get no windows srat up sound when i log on and sometimes when i google a site i get redirected. Can someone please help me to solve this problem its driving me insane!!!

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
