Boot off the XP CD and you can wipe the computer from there.

I posted the same thing just now. If I take the XP CD out and then Delete WIN ME, can I still install XP through a startup menu or something? I am helpless.

Set the computer up to boot from the XP cd. (boot from CD choice in bios). Then actually follow the instructions posted here.

Of course you will need to know the manufacturer of the computer so you can then install the main board chipset drivers.
Are you sure that your computer meets the minimum specs for XP?
