Hey, i want to rebuild my T23 IBM laptop. I have a XP disc i got from a friend and i basically want to do a clean install.

However I am absolutly clueless about where my driver files are, or what "essential" files i need to back.

So please can someone help/enlighten me, before i make the big mistake of doing a clean reformat, only to find out i can't use my computer because i havn't got the drivers :S

Thank you.

If you look on the bottom of your laptop, there's a sticker with the model number... might read something like 2672-xxx. Take this number and go to Lenovo and enter it in the search engine. Download all the drivers you need for whatever you have on your T23.

Also, visit the Thinkpad forum (link in my signature) and join up. It's a good forum dedicated to Thinkpads.
