For some strange reason, the volume icon on the taskbar disappears every time I turn on my computer. The only way to bring it back is to go to Control Panel > Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices, then uncheck the "Place volume icon on the taskbar", Apply, then check the "Place volume icon on the taskbar" then OK. How do I fix this so I don't have to do this every time I turn on the computer?

All help will be appreciated.

Hi there,

I remember having a similar problem once before, it was suggested I run the repair registry file from Kelly's Korner. This is only to restore the volume and/or networking icons.

Make sure to run ERUNT to backup your registry first! Here's our How-To Guide.

Cheers
