First, download, install, and run CleanUp! (so the scan won't take as long because cleanup will clear temporary files) *NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders. If you have anything in a temp folder, backup it up or move it to a permanent folder prior to running Cleanup!

Please download ewido security suite
  • Install ewido security suite
  • Launch ewido, there should be a big E icon on your desktop, double-click it.
  • The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
  • The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Click on Start
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

Once the updates are installed do the following:
  • Reboot into Safe Mode, then run Ewido.
  • Click on scanner
  • Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
    • Binder
    • Crypter
    • Archives
  • Click on Start Scan
  • Let the program scan the machine
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report
  • Save the report to your desktop
Reboot into normal mode.

Then, please run this online virus scan:
ActiveScan

Save the results from ActiveScan.

In your next post (in this topic) I need the log from Ewido, the log from ActiveScan, and a new HiJackThis log. :tazz:

Ok, I used ewido but ActiveScan(online) couldn't work when I tried it. I tried restarting and running avtivescan again but it sitll didn't work. I'll be glad to use an alternative virus scan. But so far here are my 2 logs.

Well, Ewido did an awesome job of cleaning up!! :tazz:

Do you know what these are:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fscagent.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\clubbox.exe

Please let me know!

Then do this:

1. Go to Start->Run and type "Services.msc" (without quotes) then hit Ok
Scroll down and find the below services:

nqyrcvmmu
ygixaxaye
System Startup Service (or SvcProc)

When you find them, double-click on each one. In the next window that opens, click the Stop button, then click on properties and under the General Tab, change the Startup Type to Disabled. Now hit Apply and then Ok.

Run HiJackThis. Click on "None of the above, just start the program". Now, click on the "Config" button (bottom right), then click on "Misc Tools", then click on "Delete an NT Service" a window will pop up. Enter the below item into that field (copy and paste):

SvcProc

Click ok.

It should pull up information about the service, when it asks if you want to reboot now click NO.

Follow the above instructions for these as well:

ygixaxaye
nqyrcvmmu

Click OK, after the LAST one, this time click YES when it asks if you want to reboot.

As your computer is restarting, continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, the hit enter.

While in Safe Mode, run HiJackThis and place a check next to the following items, if found, and click FIX CHECKED:

O1 - Hosts: 216.39.69.102 view.atdmt.com

O2 - BHO: CExtension Object - {0019C3E2-DD48-4A6D-ABCD-8D32436323D9} - C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr51.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: BolgerObj Class - {302A3240-4805-4a34-97D7-1645A0B08410} - C:\WINDOWS\Bolger.dll (file missing)

O23 - Service: nqyrcvmmu - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\cvmmu\nqyr.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: System Startup Service (SvcProc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: ygixaxaye - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\System32\axaye\ygix.exe (file missing)

Close HiJackThis and reboot into normal mode.

Try running this online scan:
http://www.ravantivi...can/indexie.php

Save the log from RAV and post it with a new HiJackThis log.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fscagent.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\clubbox.exe

Those two are part of a download agent I use that are safe.

I did everything above but the RAV scan wont scan a folder..just an individual file. And when I was in safe mode i didn't see these three entries.

That is nothing to worry about! Svchost is a legitimate system process! ;) )

Congratulations your log is clean! Great job on the clean up :tazz:

I recommend checking the http://www.microsoft.com website periodically for critical updates to install.

Here are some tips, to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing the following applications:

Ewido Security Suite <= Protection against Trojans, Worms, Dialers, Hijackers, Spyware, and Keyloggers.

Detect and Remove Programs:
  • How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
  • How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
Prevention Programs:
  • Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well known ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
  • Google Toolbar <= Get the free google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
Other necessary Programs:
  • AntiVirus Program<= An AntiVirus program is a must! Whether it is a free version like AVG or Anti-Vir, or a shareware version like Norton or Kapersky, this is a must have.
  • Firewall<= A firewall is definitely a must have. Two good free versions are Sygate and ZoneLabs.
