All drivers are up to date and the router is w/in 15feet of the desktop and wireless adapter, with no obstructions. I've tried both winsockfix and EvID4226Patch with no success. all virus scans and adware scans come back clean. any help you can offer would be appreciated

Thanks Gentoolink,

I read through that thread, but nothing seemed to really make a difference. I'm using WZC instead of the software supplied by the wireless card mfg.
