Ok, my laptop is ocmpletely screwed up. I am new to this forum so I will try to explain the problems as best I can. When I boot up the laptop, all I get is a symantec box with nothing in it. Like it is trying to run an antivirus program but can't. There are no desktop icons, taskbar, nothing. The only thing I can do is Alt+Ctrl+Delete. I have defragmented my drives, ran disk check, and I ran my antivirus scans many times. One time the log showed like 50 viruses, mostly they were all the same but just copied again and again. So I cleaned or quarantined them and still nothin. I use to be able to go online through the task manager but now I Can't. It cannot find the wireless internet connection. Can someone please help me so I don't have to take this laptop in somewhere? BTW, I do not have my windows cd. THanks

My recommendation is to start in the Malware Forum. They can diagnose if you have any malware issues that would be causing this.

I am having somewhat the same problem with no desktop no task bar Nothing works Windows loads to the welcome screen with user account I con once I click to enter it comes to empty desktop...I do still have the wallpaper but no icons...also laptop restarts itself in exactly 10 minutes after entering user account.

First please start a new thread if you are having in issue. Also my recommendation would be the same as above. Read the guidelines and post in the Malware forum. They should be able to help you out.
