DVD Player won't play dvds

Hi. I installed a Compaq DVD-Rom GD-2500 in my Compaq Presario and when I Play a DVD I get this message:

Unable to open file "E\ splash.dxr" because it is already open with write permission by another user

I have updated the driver but still have the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?
