I've set up a test network at home, and would like to add three computers to a SBS2003 domain. Unfortunately they are currently running XP home, so I can't add them to the domain.

Can I buy XP Pro OEM, wipe the computer drives and install it? Or do I have to buy XP retail copies? I don't want to in-place upgrade because of some existing issues.

Many thanks,

The OEM disks will wipe the machine, no upgrade available on those. The upgrade disks are designed to work with a previous version of Windows - XP Home upgrade to XP Pro isn't an upgrade, technically. Therefore you'll have to wipe the machines to get Pro on them.
