FF2 was slow too, though my cursor didn't get jittery. I have uninstalled 2 since I think 3 loaded a bit faster, even though the cursor is unusable during page loading. This is frustrating.

I understand, but I'm running out of options here.

Yikes, well, my CD burner doesn't work, and I don't have another PC to save the backed up info, so I guess I am just SHOOL! Thanks for trying.

I think it's time I delve into the Gateway Vista I set up but that still has a plethora of quirks remaining...just hate the let this antique go :-(
