After I capture a screenshot (by clicking Print Screen) and then assigning a name (ss1.jpg) in Paint ... I run into this problem: when I try to attach it in a Forum. I get a message like this, "The Dimension limits for this filetype are 500 x 500. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 1024 x 768."

How do I respond to those instructions? What do I do to resize the file?

Thank you.

Open any GOOD graphics editor and find where the option is to resize the image in the menus at top. Usually under "Image". Then make sure the "Keep aspect ratio" box is check and enter the dimensions that will allow it to be uploaded. If you don't have a GOOD graphics editor, here are some good free ones:

FREE software:

http://www.getpaint.net/
http://www.blender.o...ad/get-blender/
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
http://www.inkscape.org/download/

FREE online photo editors:

http://www.splashup.com/
http://www.blibs.com/editor/ (I like this one best)
http://www.onlineimageeditor.info/
http://fotoflexer.com/
http://lunapic.com/editor/
http://vectormagic.com/
http://www.flauntr.com/

Don't use MS Paint program. A really lousy graphics editor. Paint.net is a good sub.

Your welcome. Post back with image link if you need it done for you or have problems. Don't know if the pixel size is their only limitation or not as even a 500x500 image can have a large file size. They may have a limit on that too. Just means you have to save image at a lower quality setting.
