Vista, Peachtree and Internet issue

Hi! I hope someone can give me a little help. My family has a small business and use Peachtree Accounting (Quantum). Our system is a desktop with Vista Home Premium. I cannot use Peachtree when I am connected online. It "stops responding". When I'm disconnected, Peachtree is fine. Any ideas???
