I have a laptop without a diskette drive or cd rom drive. I purchased both external drives and try loading them to the laptop. They are both supported by usb hookup. For some reason I can't get the laptop to recognize the A drive or the CD rom drive. When trying to add the software I say Have Disk, but it will not recognize the different drives. What can I do to load the two devices?

Welcome renee <_<

Have you tried testing your USB ports with a known working device to see if they are working correctly? If your USB is functioning okay, I'd guess you need a hardware driver for the system to recognize the drives. Try downloading one from the Internet. If you need help locating the correct drivers reply with the make and model number of your laptop.
