XP continues to tell me the same 2 updates are available even though I have manually and automatically installed them. They are the same each time and are:

Security Updates KB942830
Security Updates KB942831

I have been given a clean bill of health from malware. If interested in that thread follow this link

I have not installed SP3 yet but was thinking of doing so, although that is not one that is offered.

thanks

Are they listed in Add\Remove as installed (make sure to put a check in "Show updates" box)?

Not sure what you mean. On my tool bar by my clock, there is a little yellow shield. When I click on the shield, it tells me I have updates ready to be installed.

All installed updates are listed in Add\Remove in Control Panel.
You said:

So, I'm asking, if they're listed as installed in Add\Remove...

Sorry for the delayed response. Been a busy week at work.

The updates do NOT show up in add/remove.

I read the thread. It does not apply. In the thread, poster indicated the updates showed up in add/remove. In my post, I indicated they did NOT show up. Surely you don't suggest the same steps, do you?

thanks

I'm not sure. It may be too risky.
