USB Troubles

Last night I used a usb hub to connect several of my devices (ipod, flash drive and portable hard drive). Today I moved back to college and now the flash drive and portable drive are not being recognized by windows (xp pro) in any slot (usb hub, motherboard or keyboard usb inputs). Is it possible this hub corrupted these two devices? Luckily I had nothing I need but I would like to use them again.

And to test them I plugged them into my friends laptop and his computer didn't see them either.
